These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Balkan Gate, including our mobile app and this web portal (together, the "Service"), operated by Balkan Gate ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, browsing as a guest, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Balkan Gate helps travelers discover locations, categories, and events across Serbia. Through the app you can browse the map, save favourites, rate and review places, and submit new locations for our team to review and publish. This web portal is primarily used by our administrators to manage that content and by users to sign in, reset passwords, and review these legal pages.

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials confidential.
• You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
• You must be legally able to enter into these Terms in your country of residence to register an account.

You may use core features of Balkan Gate — including saving favourites and posting reviews — without registering an account, identified only by a device token stored on your device. Guest access is provided for convenience and remains subject to these Terms, including the rules on user content and acceptable use below.

"User Content" means any location submissions, photos, ratings, reviews, and comments you submit through the Service. By submitting User Content, you confirm it's accurate to the best of your knowledge and you grant Balkan Gate a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute it within the Service. You retain ownership of your User Content, and you're solely responsible for it.

New location submissions are reviewed by our team before they appear publicly. We may approve, reject, or request changes to any submission at our discretion.

We may review, edit, remove, or decline to publish any User Content, including reviews and location submissions, that we believe violates these Terms, is inaccurate, or is otherwise inappropriate — without prior notice.

When using Balkan Gate, you agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, defamatory, or fraudulent reviews or location listings.
• Upload content that is unlawful, obscene, hateful, or infringes on someone else's rights.
• Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that don't belong to you.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Service, including through automated scraping or bots.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with one.
• Use the Service for any purpose that is illegal or prohibited by these Terms.

The Balkan Gate name, logo, app design, and underlying software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the license you grant us over your own User Content, nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights to you, and you may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our permission.

Location details, opening hours, events, and other listing information are sourced from our team and our community of users, and may change without notice. We do our best to keep listings accurate, but we don't guarantee completeness or correctness. Please verify important details — such as opening hours or event dates — directly with the venue or organizer before you travel.

Balkan Gate may offer optional subscription plans that unlock additional features, and promo codes that can be applied to your account. Where subscriptions involve payment, additional pricing and billing terms will be presented to you at the time of purchase and form part of these Terms.

You may stop using the Service or request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you've violated these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Balkan Gate and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Service, including reliance on location or event information.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia, without regard to its conflict of law principles, unless a different jurisdiction is required by mandatory local consumer protection law where you reside.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Effective" date above, and for significant changes we'll provide additional notice in the app. Continuing to use Balkan Gate after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
